By Mary Turner Trying to describe last Saturday in simple words, I'd say this : "Dema came, tore Steam down and left". It really was a loud party, in every sense. Starting the night, DKTD warmed the place up with some deep house and deep tech sounds, to prepare the grounds for Tech1ne. The last 30 or so minutes of his set, featured some of the night's most explosive moments, leaving the sweaty dance floor ready for the night's headliner, Dema! Taking over the decks of Steam, Dema, instead of raising the intensity further, he reset the mood, leading all the clubbers along with his sounds. It was a truly rave-like experience, as he kept the energy high until the first morning hours. Just when Sunday's morning fatigue started to creep in, Mikee's set followed, to ensure that the event would remain unforgettable! The night was unexpectedly magical for everyone, even Dema, who said that he hopes to be invited again soon! In a few hours, in Athens we are expecting a special show, Deep Phase invites for first time in Greece Dema at Steam, a man who is considered one of the most exciting new talents in the techno music scene. The Italian talent gave us the chance for a small interview before his show! Read bellow | Event on Facebook

- As a producer, you count multiple collaborations, there is any collaboration where the result was so unique in order not to forget it ever?
- With few words, can you describe your unique sound? As a dj, what do you want to pass to your crowd?

Steam Athens, is an infinitely more visible night-time option now than it ever was, for tech house and techno fans at least, having launched with a booking policy to rival techno and tech-house scene's leading players! That's why big name Djs , such as Radio Slave, aren't unusual in Blend nights. Last Saturday, March 12th, Radio Slave took over the decks of Steam Athens, along with Mikee and Manolaco, keeping the vibe going all night long. It was a very special event, because it lived up to the hype. The music was fantastic from start to finish, while the experience of being in the club was...carnivalistic!
Entering Steam, you would be surrounded by the sounds of Mikee and Manolaco, who warmed-up the dance floor for Radio Slave, who kept the energy levels high while still injecting his own personality into the performance. The crowd's excitement couldn't be missed, since everyone was into the carnival mood and the techno grooves. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend as much as we did!
By Mary Turner Last Saturday an unforgettable event took place at Steam Athens, leaving everyone who experienced it with the best memories a party could create! Warming up the place, Nick A. and St.M. filled the Steam with the first techno vibes of the night, building from an empty room, to a packed dance floor! More and more people joined us and by 3 o'clock, right before Fabio Florido took over the decks, the place was crowded. It didn't take long until the Steam was overflowed with sweat, shouting, arms and legs moving to the sound of Florido's techno and tech-house vibes! But that's not all of it! The night's undoubted highlight was when music stopped, and everyone- and I mean every single soul in there- sang “Happy Birthday” to Mikee, who dynamically took over the decks right after Florido, accompanied by a very special “Deep Phase” birthday cake. Last but not least, Jackals Tattoo was running a contest at the party, giving four people the opportunity to win piercings and a tattoo. Can you ask for more? Really, can you? From the intimacy of the venue to the friendly bartenders and the techno grooves, this was a night that will be remembered for quite some time! |
